Genius Level Multi-tasking

Do you ruminate about what happened in your day when you go to sleep?

Or start worrying about the next day? Tasking about what was forgotten perhaps? Or what else needs to be done?

I'm sure you can see right away this is not really the recipe for a relaxing night of slumber, is it?

And neither will this bring usher in your desires faster.

Thomas Edison said, “Never go to sleep without a request to your subconscious.”

So, let’s talk about how to have our mind work for our desires and dreams while we relax into sleep. This is genius level multi-tasking!

I use to do all the things I listed at the top, until I understood this time in our day as a powerful creation zone and I understood the importance of using it. I decided that I wanted to not only intentionally create when I woke up but like bookends on the shelf of my day that right before I went to sleep was another powerful creation zone that I did not want to miss.

Why should you?!

Since starting this practice, I've noticed that I have more dreams where my intuition speaks to me. I receive ideas about problems I'm mulling over in my waking hours, and, better yet, I experience significantly more peaceful nights' sleep that completely changes my energy and approach to life the very next day.

So it has short-term and long-term benefits.

It is quite a valuable and essential practice!

How do you do this?

First, let me remind you that much of what keeps us from achieving our dreams and desires are the unconscious limiting beliefs that say that we cannot have them.

We unknowingly identify with these beliefs rather than with our Genius Self’s set of beliefs.

You could start “positively thinking” all day but if deep down you do not truly change your subconscious beliefs, your shifts tend to be very little. Mainly because there is dissonance in what we want and what we think about it.

Changing beliefs is not always the easiest task, so doing so when we are in a state of relaxation makes a world of difference!

Because the mind is more impressionable and less resistant to different or new information right when we drift off and right when we wake up and when we are relaxed.

Does it really work? The truth is that the greater part of you (we all have it) knows these affirmations and mantras to be true, as they hold a high vibrational frequency much like some types of music. You can feel it.

So allowing yourself to “steep” in these vibrations is like steeping tea: the longer you steep the deeper and stronger the flavor of the tea will be.

Even if your mind is not caught up to this vibration, if your emotional body, physical body and spirit are aligning then the mind will have no choice but to get on board!

These are two ways that I have found to be very effective:

  1. Listen to a loop of affirmations or mantras. There are so many free ones on Youtube and Spotify. I usually put my sleep timer on and relax and listen las I fall asleep. As you listen, visualize and feel into the messages. Remember, our emotions are what give our thoughts power and energy to manifest, so choose mantras and affirmations that evoke how you want to feel. Recently, I have been focused on my abundance so I have leaned towards tracks around this topic. You can choose ones for love, health, inspiration, healing...essentially any topic. Here are some of my favorites.

  2. Record your own personal affirmation track: Use the voice memos option in your phone and then play it as you drift off. I have had so much fun creating these! Write out the affirmations first and then read them over and over again. Using your own voice is powerful and creating this track is an act towards your “yes” to create what you are desiring. If you try this for some time, you WILL experience shifts in the ways you intend. Often, it is the simplest tools that have the most profound impact. Here is my latest track.

So go ahead, make those requests. You can be creating your genius life 24 hours a day!

With Love, Jill
