Dear Sky...questions for the astrology of the times 4/12/2020

My intention behind “Dear Sky” is to provide a way to interact more with my community using the current astrology of the times. How does it work? You submit any question that you wish to have answered to me via email or private message on Facebook, and I answer your questions based on the current astrology of the times. Note,  this is not synonymous to reading your personal astrological birth chart which contains information specific to  only you. Is there partnership in my future? JS

At the time of your question, Venus is in Gemini in the 10th house. So, if partnership is in your bucket list, then it would be good to make it a priority and goal in the same way that you would other goals such as buying a home. Think about how you have approached goals in the past and vet out “old” methods that were not sustainable or successful and perhaps resulted in a sense of “ burn out”. Instead, explore new ways to create that start with a clear intention.  Get in touch with the feelings of relationship that excites you and let it build. Then explore what actions you take incrementally towards this goal. With Mercury conjuncting Chiron, it would be helpful to heal any beliefs about partnership that you carry separating you from your needs and from being empowered in a relationship. Old relationships can carry a lot of wisdom. What was missing? What did you learn from your relationship? Learning from the old is key but repetition can stop there.  “Relationship” needs to look and feel differently for you now. So, expect it to come in new ways and not to necessarily feel the same. Yet you might recognize it in a felt sense familiar to the feelings you get when you create your intention. Approach it with freshness and curiosity. “Gemini” was the card I drew for you so breathe in the innocence of possibility. Take a fresh approach and be present with what is showing up in your environment, there may be lots of information to glean just from opening your eyes and ears. What do I do with the rest of my life? What is the next best thing? Should I sell my house?

Big questions! I like the challenge.  When direction seems to be a question, I call upon Jupiter the great pathfinder for the answer! At the time of your question, Jupiter is packed in tight with Pluto causing a ruckus in the 5th house of “Recreation/Fun/creative expression”. It seems you could clean out, and update your practice and routines for generating more fun and play in life.  Do you have a “joy” list? It may be outdated and in need of some deletions and new additions which may in fact tell you a lot about who you are and what would be fun to create in this lifetime. Make work of creating more fun in your life. Like you work to learn a new skill in your vocation literally commit to a practice of rediscovering what lights you up and puts a spring to your step. Learn how to dance! Maybe not literally but in your life. Take out energy drains be it people or activities. Learn to say no to nominal delight and up level your criteria! Once you do this, it just may lead you towards exciting new paths that you would not have expected. Be in the flow of this new endeavor and let it lead you. I mean, you can’t go wrong if you focus on joy right? Worst case you smile waaaay more. 

As for the house, I seem to think that this joy project will answer that question in due time but not now possibly. If you want to prepare for that answer, do a little literal house cleaning too and figure out if your house brings you joy.

Should I be open to having loved ones old and new in my life right now? I am feeling a complete shut out may be best.

I consulted Venus, the relationship planet, and she was in the 1st house (associated with Mars and individuation).  She is in Gemini, and so that mix up of energies can result in anger and frustration at being overstimulated to put it simply. It would appear a “shut out”, be it maybe only temporary, may be best indeed. Gemini energy makes us very receptive to energies and you may have a collection of other people’s energy building up around you that needs to be cleared. So, can you get some fresh air and space to yourself to decompress? Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and he is in the 11th house, which is also associated with isolation at times and getting space..and while we are at it a little rebellion too. So, you don’t have to follow the social etiquette rules of allowing people to see you because it would be rude not to. Do as you please! Cancer energy rules the 3rd house of communication, so nurture yourself.  Take a salt bath and cleanse some of that energy. Drink some water or a liquid tonic of choice with intention to 

restore yourself with what you need. Mercury in Aries is allowing us to get in touch with our needs and what we want. Right now it appears you want space and time away to do for you, so the stars say “take it”! You can ask for and allow yourself to do what you feel best, no apologies. So, embrace the “shelter in place rule” and isolate! The stars like it and.. you taking care of you!

Am I supposed to have or adopt a human baby in this lifetime?

A big decision that is to make my friend! There are a few ways we can go with this question, but I feel drawn to seek counsel from Venus in the light she sheds onto our values. At the time of your question, she is in Gemini in the 8th house.  I feel drawn to advise you to ask “Why” to this question over and over again until you get to the root of why you feel you would like to be a child. Does it satisfy you? Be curious if there are any undercover reasons that you want a child that perhaps need further inquiry or exploration before acting. Venus wants you to dive deep into this one with a fresh curiosity. When I looked at the house that Venus rules (2nd) which deals with your values, Sagittarius rules this house at this time..here we get motivations to expand and broaden the view for what you envision about this value. Sagittarius also deals with foreign travel so would adopting an international child be an option to explore? When I look at the 4th house of  home and children we see the sign of Aquarius, so creating an unusual homelife could be another possibility to explore..fostering a child, being an amazing “surrogate parent” to a child that needs a stand in parent from time to time, possibilities are endless to how to be a parent. You can reinvent what parenting can look like for you. Lastly, the 5th house which can also point to creations (human form as well) is stacked with quite a few planets namely Mercury in Aries, so in your creations (be it ones you create in your womb) cultivate a fearlessness to act on this desire if indeed it is yours and not a part of the “shoulds family” of social programming. In the case you find that it is, you can toss it out and create family and a homelife that serves your needs and desires to remain true to you. If once you dig deep you find you do want to bring a child into your life, then realize you may never feel “ready” as this choice involves risk! So, be like a child in your inquiry of having one and enjoy asking “why” as often and as long as you like until you find what you are looking for..
